Imagining Digital Worlds with Simply.com
Leveraging the speed of GenAI
We believe AI works best when the idea is already clear.
The technology may be changing rapidly, but many of the fundamental principles behind strong creative work still remain the same. Taste matters. Strategy matters. Clear creative direction matters.
AI does not remove the need for ideas. In some ways, it makes them even more important.
Our collaboration with Simply.com became a strong example of how generative AI can elevate a campaign when used intentionally – not as a gimmick, but as a creative production tool serving a creative purpose.
Simplifying the digital world
Simply.com is one of Europe’s largest DNS and domain providers, offering hosting and digital infrastructure solutions to businesses across the Nordics and beyond.
Most small businesses want creating an online presence to feel simple, not technical. That insight became the foundation for the communication platform we developed.
The ambition was to create a brand universe that felt modern and easy to follow while increasing awareness and click-through rates across digital channels.
Own your domain
The concept we developed for Simply.com was built around a simple line: Own your domain.
By using a direct statement, we created a platform capable of speaking to small businesses and creators in a much more relatable way.
It literally references the company’s core product: domains and digital ownership. But more importantly, it frames the digital infrastructure Simply.com provides as a tool that can create domains tailored to your tastes and needs.
When AI elevates the idea
In creating our universe, we never intended to use AI to replace the creative process As our Nordic Thinking mantra goes; the idea came first.
In the age of AI, using it can sometimes be perceived as a cheap executional shortcut. We find that strong results can materialise when technology is guided by clear creative direction, strong taste and realistic expectations.
Knowing what AI is capable of, including where its limitations begin, is becoming one of the most valuable skills in modern creative production.
Speed requires direction
Using GenAI tools, we created a way to convey “own your domain.”
The technology allowed us to:
- Create highly flexible content at scale
- Build a recognisable visual universe faster
- Adapt communication across multiple touchpoints
- Combine innovation with simplicity
But speed alone is not enough.
One of the biggest misconceptions around AI production is the idea that traditional creative discipline disappears. But clients still care about the yellow dress, or whether the car should have been a Porsche instead of a Mercedes.
Taste still matters just as much as before, the difference now is simply that revisions happen faster. If the styling, characters or visual direction are unclear from the beginning, teams can quickly lose the AI speed advantage, often ending up trapped in endless prompting, revisions and experimentation.
In other words: AI still needs creative leadership.
A new creative workflow
The outcome of the Simply.com collaboration was not just a campaign, but a scalable communication framework designed for long-term brand building.
Using short, confident messaging combined with AI-generated visual storytelling, we created a flexible content system capable of translating complex digital services into simple and memorable communication.
More importantly, the project demonstrated something increasingly relevant across the creative industry: AI works best when creativity already has direction.
Not when technology replaces the idea.
But when it accelerates it.
